History
In 1992, a group of Cuyuna Range citizens and representatives of many area groups met for a day conference to define a vision for the communities of the Cuyuna Range. The question was asked, "What will our community provide our citizens by the year 2000?" The top priority was a need for a multi-purpose community center. The Hallett Community Center Foundation, Inc. was formed and began working on raising monies to provide citizens of the Cuyuna Range area with such a facility.
When the Hallett Community Center opened on November 1, 1999, the dream became a reality. The City of Crosby owns the Hallett Community Center and the Hallett Community Center Foundation continues to serve as the fundraising body providing improvements to the facility.
