Biking in North Central Minnesota
Bicycling in northern Minnesota is just another great activity for your enjoyment. The Paul Bunyan trail will soon be enhanced by linkage to the new Cuyuna Lakes Trail. This initial 5.5 miles of the trail was completed in the fall of 2005. It will extend from east Brainerd through the rugged Cuyuna area of Crosby-Ironton and eventually all the way to Aitkin.
The next phase, scheduled to start construction in 2007 will extend from the trailhead in Crosby east and south through the beautiful Cuyuna Hills region and south through Deerwood. Then it will extend from south of Hwy 210 to eventually link with Aitkin.
